The Colecovision collection started in 2008, way late compared to the Intellivision collection. Much later, in 2017, the collection includes several dozen full games and a large number of homebrew games. And then, patratras! A very large part of the Colecovision collection is sold. Finally, in 2020, after having recovered some nice pieces, the collection starts again and grows month after month.
For the record, I am an official member of the Colecovision Brotherhood – To Serve and Preserve. To be part of it, and we are few, you have to have found a game programmed but never released in the Colecovision era, that is to say in the 80s. By « luck », I met the former CEO of Nice Ideas and I managed to get my hands on Fireworks Factory that I finally released officially with the help of two good friends and also on another game that will be released in 2021 via Collectorvision.
La collection Colecovision a démarré en 2008, bien tard par rapport à la collection Intellivision. Bien plus tard, en 2017, la collection comprend plusieurs dizaines de jeux complets et un grand nombre de jeux homebrew. Et puis, patratras ! Une très grande partie de la collection Colecovision est vendue. Finalement, en 2020, après avoir récupéré de belles pièces, la collection reprend et grossit mois après mois.
Pour la petite histoire, je suis membre officiel de la confrérie Colecovision appelée « Colecovision Brotherhood – To Serve and Preserve ». Pour en faire partie, et nous sommes peu nombreux, il faut avoir déniché un jeu programmé mais jamais sorti à l’époque de la Colecovision, c’est à dire dans les années 80. Par « chance », j’ai rencontré l’ancien PDG de Nice Ideas et j’ai réussi à mettre la main sur Fireworks Factory que j’ai finalement sorti officiellement à l’aide de deux potes bien dégourdis et également sur un autre jeu qui sortira en 2021 via Collectorvision.
